Cambridge Wedding Photographer
Natural & relaxed photography that tells the story of your wedding day
I live in a village near Cambridge with my wife, Alice, and our two daughters, Poppy and Laurel. As a Cambridge wedding photographer, I capture weddings not only across Cambridgeshire but also in Norfolk, Suffolk, London, Stamford, Rutland, and occasionally abroad.
My style is rooted in documentary storytelling. I spent the first six years of my career as a photojournalist, followed by two years working for the UK’s leading photography magazine. Now, I focus on capturing natural, creative images for couples who want a fun, friendly, and relaxed photographer on their wedding day.
Can I get a whoop whoop! You’re getting married!

Cambridge wedding photographer with a documentary style
Hi there, I’m Ben, a wedding photographer based in Cambridge with over 15 years of experience. My style is documentary-driven—I love capturing real, unscripted moments filled with emotion. My goal is to tell the story of your wedding day in a creative, natural way. I don’t believe in micromanaging or posing you endlessly. Instead, I quietly document the day as it unfolds, capturing all the genuine moments and joy as they happen.
While most of my photos are candid, I do offer some gentle guidance when needed—especially for family photos. I believe these moments are important, but I keep them quick and stress-free so you can get back to celebrating with your guests without missing a beat.
I’m not a photographer who’ll pull you away for long, drawn-out photo sessions. Instead, I’ll carefully select a few key moments to take some portraits, ensuring you don’t miss out on time with your guests while also making the most of the light for beautiful, atmospheric shots. These sessions are short, relaxed, and focused on capturing you at your best.
A few days after your wedding, I’ll send you a preview gallery with some highlights from the day. The full gallery will be ready in 4-6 weeks, and everything is shared through a password-protected online gallery. You and your loved ones can download photos for free or order prints. I aim for natural, timeless editing—enhancing colours, detail, and contrast without heavy filters or trendy tones, so your photos will still feel fresh for years to come.
If this approach resonates with you, I’d love to chat and answer any questions you have. Just get in touch, and we can set up a meeting to get to know each other better!

My style
Documentary style Cambridgeshire wedding photographer
No cheese, no clichés, no awkward posing. Just unobtrusive wedding photography, documenting the details, the love and the laughs, throughout your wedding day. We'll also make time when the light is at its best to create some relaxed and authentic portraits of the two of you. I shoot group photos too, but my aim is to keep these brief so you can spend more time celebrating with your family and friends.
