Welcome to my look back at the weddings of 2019! And what a year it’s been! There’s some accidental poetry that I’ve photographed 19 weddings this year, capturing 84, 792 images in the process and delivered 14, 211 edited photographs between my fantastic couples. I’d like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who has hired me as their wedding photographer, recommended or supported me in any way. I’m truly incredibly lucky to do this job. I’ve been photographing weddings for 10 years now, and it’s always an honour and privilege to be entrusted with such a task. It’s also a joy to be constantly learning and evolving, and looking back over the weddings for this post highlights to me how my work continues to improve year on year. And I’m already raring to go for 2020 and excited for what the next wedding season has in store. I was recently interviewed for a magazine and asked about any trends emerging in weddings, and one thing I have noticed in 2019 is far more women at weddings giving speeches. Whether it’s brides, bridesmaids, mothers or sisters, the ladies in our lives have been delivering some rip-roaring speeches, free from internet jokes and full of love, laughter and wisdom, and I can’t wait to hear and learn much more over the coming 12 months.
