Angel and Dan’s Cambridge punting photoshoot was a great idea for their pre-wedding shoot. They live in San Fransisco and wanted some quintessential Cambridge photos to celebrate their engagement. Dan grew up around Cambridge, and their wedding will be here this Easter. A lot of the guests will be travelling from the US, and experiencing Cambridge for the first time. They wanted a Cambridge punting photoshoot to showcase the highlights of Dan’s hometown, so we enjoyed a punting trip, had a stroll around town and explored the meadows. The pre-wedding shoot began with a private punting tour – facilitated by an excellent guide. She was up for getting Angel & Dan on the bank in front of Kings for a few iconic photos. They had a brief stroll and a quick spin, before boarding the boat to continue the tour along the Cam. After punting we looped through town. I guided them through some of the quieter Cambridge streets to escape the busy crowds and capture the Cambridge charm. We took in some of the side streets such as Senate House Passage, Trinity Lane and Garret Hostel bridge. After another quick outfit change for Angel & Dan, it was time for the third and final section for their pre-wedding shoot. We stopped by Coe Fen to enjoy the greenery and peace. After a stroll through the meadows, we wound up by the River Cam once again, where we began the Cambridge punting photoshoot. The light had been super bright all day – which can sometimes make for harsh photography conditions. While also seeking out shade, sometimes it’s fun to embrace the challenge of the contrast and play with the light. This was a really fun photoshoot, a super location and a tonnes of fun couple – what more could I ask for!
