For Victoria & Aled’s Rutland engagement shoot they picked out a few of their favourite places around Victoria’s home village, where they will be tying the knot later this year. We met at Victoria’s family home late in the afternoon to try and catch the nice evening sun, and it made one or two brief appearances from behind the April clouds. We started off by heading out to Wakerley Woods, a spot Victoria knows well and is a place they both like to walk Ruffles, their adorable dog when back home visiting family. There were a few bluebells to create a pretty carpet in patches. After stretching Ruffles’ legs, we headed to a pasture field above the river with great views over the valley, looking towards the church where they’ll soon marry. We ventured downhill to the water and got some fun pictures on the river beach. Victoria & Aled then decided to run through the neighbouring wheatfield; Theresa May would be very shocked 🙂 For our final location we drove to the other side of the valley to find a gorgeous yellow field of oil seed rape. It was so much fun to spend a couple of hours with Victoria & Aled and get to know them better; I’m really looking forward to their wedding later in the year.
