Bridge House Barn, Kibworth wedding
Rosaline & William’s day began in the picturesque village of Arthingworth, just a short drive from Bridge House Barn in Kibworth. Arthingworth is where Rosaline’s family originally comes from and own a holiday cottage here. This is where Rosaline and the bridal party got ready, while William was just over the road with his family in a farm house they’d rented via Airbnb for the weekend. The morning was very relaxed with the bridal party watching old family videos of their childhood. William and his ushers went to a local pub for a burger and a pint to settle the nerves.
When the bells chimed for 2pm Rosaline made the short walk to the village church. She was escorted by her father, along with her mother and bridesmaids, to where William was waiting. The ceremony was accompanied by personal readings and quite incredible singing performances by members of the wedding party – it helps if your sister is a professional singer! After the vows and official signing of the marriage we headed outside for confetti and some quick family photos outside the church.
Everyone then made their way to Bridge House Barn in Kibworth. It’s a fantastic tipi venue in pastoral farmland and next to a canal. Guests were entertained with live music with a country/folk vibe, maypole dancing inside the tipi, and roasting marshmallows on an open fire. We made time for a few photos of Rosaline and William, along with pictures of the entire wedding party and a few fun ones on the vintage tractor and trailer.
After the wedding breakfast it was time for the speeches, which were belly-tickling and tear-jerking in equal measure. The evening kicked off with the first dance, and a brilliant wedding band led the charge into the night and the dance floor was rammed all night long. This wedding knew how to party! I’d like to offer my heartfelt congratulations to Rosaline and William – it was an honour to be part of your day and I wish you all the happiness in your marriage!
