I’ve known Tom since childhood as I was school friends with his brother, so it was a real delight when he got in touch to ask if I was available for his and Stevie’s wedding. They’d decided they would also like to do a pre-wedding shoot as a fun and nice thing to do, and for the experience of being in front of the camera. For the pre-wedding shoot, we went for a stroll in the fields around their home of Throckenholt in South Lincs. Stevie was pregnant with their first child and with a beautiful bump on show it doubled up as a bit of a maternity shoot too. It’s very flat in that part of the world, with huge arable fields, lots of large drains and dykes to take the water from the fens to the wash, and big skies. There’s not many other landscape features, but I love the elements of open fields, straight linear drains and roads, and huge expanses of sky.
