Jen & Tom’s Great Lodge Essex wedding was a fun filled second instalment of their wedding celebration. Part One took place the year before during stricter covid rules, and while they managed to have their legal wedding ceremony and smaller celebration, they weren’t able to party with all their friends and family until the rules had relaxed. As such, the format for the day was less traditional, with the couple already married. So this time, I didn’t photograph any of the getting ready part of the day, but instead met up with Jen and Tom before their ceremony for some portraits of the two of them, this allowed us to free up time later in the day so they could maximise time with friends. We took a stroll through the lovely grounds of the Great Lodge, taking in some of the surrounding fields and making the most of the magnificent vineyard. We then returned to the main garden of the house where guests were waiting for a personalised marriage ceremony to begin, with Jen & Tom officiating themselves and making their own personal vows. The wedding party then enjoyed a drinks reception within the stunning gardens, before heading to the Anne of Cleeves barn for the wedding breakfast, speeches and evening party.
