I first met Hannah & Ed in the summer, as we’d arranged to get together at Old Hunstanton for their pre-wedding shoot on the beach. It was a great opportunity for us to get to know each other, and Hannah & Ed were such naturals in front of the camera I knew their wedding in November would be lots of fun to shoot. The wedding was held in King’s Lynn, the town where Hannah & Ed grew up and their friends and family still live. The photography began with Hannah and her bridesmaids getting ready at the Bank House hotel, which has beautiful bright rooms and lots of natural light. Later that morning, Ed arrived with his groomsmen at the King’s Lynn Minster, a wonderfully grand church in the middle of the old town, where the ceremony would take place. After the service, we made time for some family photos outside the church as well as a confetti lineup, and then Hannah & Ed took a walk around the beautiful Georgian docks so we could capture some photos of just the two of them. Despite the weather getting a little damp and chilly at times – it was mid-November! – we managed to create some great portraits. Our walk led us back to King’s Lynn town hall where the reception was being held. It’s a great space for weddings of around 100 people and has a stunning dining hall and lots of space for guests to relax and mingle. With dinner devoured, the wedding party was treated to some fantastic speeches, and then after a short turn around the party got into full swing. A live band kept the dance floor packed all night and there was so much energy in the room. As the celebrations drew to a close, the wedding party headed outside to give Hannah & Ed a spectacular sparkler send off.
A huge thanks to Hannah & Ed for choosing me to be your wedding photographer, I was made to feel incredibly welcome and it was a real joyous day to be part of.
