Alice & Blake’s Le Strange Estate Hunstanton wedding was the perfect day in the most gorgeous North Norfolk surroundings. The day began with Alice and her bridesmaids getting ready in their family cottage on the Le Strange Estate. It was a very relaxed vibe led by the bride herself who was super chilled throughout. Blake and the boys were getting ready at a hotel a short walk away, so I walked the Norfolk lanes to reach them for a few photos before they departed and captured their stroll through the picturesque countryside. The bridal party also walked through the ancient private estate to the ceremony grove, a tree-lined space that made a perfect glade for a wedding. They had a humanist ceremony that was perfectly personalised and tailored to the couple; complete with a ring warming ceremony which ended in high amusement as the best man dropped the lovingly warmed rings in the dusty earth. After the ceremony the newlyweds dashed through a long confetti tunnel before moving on to the drinks reception. Guests enjoyed drinks and canapés on the lawn in front of the marquee, and then before the wedding breakfast we made time for group photos, a big group photo of everyone which required me to balance atop a wobbly barrel, and then some couple portraits. After everyone had enjoyed the wedding breakfast provided by the fantastic North Norfolk Catering Company, the guests were in stitches throughout the speeches, before the fun and games of the evening kicked off. One of the main events was the ‘boat race’, a drinking game involving two teams downing pints. This wedding was an English-Australian wedding, and the Aussies had controversially won the game of beach cricket the day before, so lots of pride was at stake. The two fathers of the newlyweds kicked off the drinking game, and although it was close, the English team won to much jubilation. This moment was so much fun, a real social high and a total joy to capture. The evening continued in high spirits, with a great band keeping the dance floor packed, delicious pizzas keeping everyone fed and lots more good times throughout.
