Rebecca & Oli’s Lincolnshire farm wedding was one of my favourites of the year. I love farm weddings because there’s always lots of interesting spaces to explore and plenty of rustic textures to incorporate into pictures, along with the fact they are at home and so they’re super relaxed with loads of personal touches too. The day began with Rebecca and her bridesmaids getting ready in the farmhouse, and the relaxed tone for the day was set here. Oli was getting ready at his family home in Spalding with his groomsmen, not far from St Mary and St Nicholas Church where the ceremony was taking place. After the ceremony and showering of confetti outside, everyone made their way to Rebecca’s family farm in the Lincolnshire fen for the wedding reception. They’d erected a large marquee in the garden and people gathered in here for the drinks reception, with an acoustic duo playing, barrels flowing and canapés doing the rounds. We’d already taken most of the formal photos at the church, so it was just left for the bridal party to take a wander down the farm for some relaxed group portraits. We also made time for Rebecca and Oli to get some shots of just the two of them around the farm, with plenty of cool backdrops to work with and some good light in the mix too. It was then time to take seats in the marquee, ready for the wedding breakfast and then to be followed by a set of rip roaring speeches. We made time for some more evening portraits as the light changed, with some at sunset and then some more under the starry sky once it was dark. The orchard had also been decked with lovely strings of festoon lighting so we couldn’t resist that opportunity either. The rest of the evening was filled with fun dance floor action and it was a great party.
