I planned to meet Susan & Richard at Thorpe Hall in Peterborough a couple of hours before sunset to make the most of the warm evening light. They’d chosen Thorpe Hall for the pre-wedding shoot as this is where their wedding will be in December, but thought it would be nice to make the most of the gardens in the summer months for some pictures, plus we could scout out spots to use for photos on the big day itself. The well-kept grounds are perfect for photography, with plenty of great backdrops, beautiful gardens and various different areas to explore. We spent an hour or so finding the best locations for pictures, and I’m sure we’ll revisit some in December. The gardens will look quite different in the winter, but there’s lots of charming doorways and nooks about the place for great couple pictures, and I’m looking forward to the big day!
