Rebekah & Rhys’ William Cecil wedding in Stamford marked the start of the 2019 season for me. The day began with Rebekah and her four bridesmaids getting ready at her home in Peterborough. I spent the morning shooting a mix of natural photos of the bridal party and plenty of detail shots too. The wedding itself took place at All Saints Church in Peterborough, and guests were treated to cupcakes as they left the ceremony. After the bride and groom had been showered with confetti, they made their way via vintage car to the William Cecil hotel in Stamford for the wedding reception. Everyone enjoyed the drinks reception in the April sunshine and pleasant gardens, before we made time for family photos. As guests took their seats for the wedding breakfast, I took Rebekah and Rhys off to get some photos of just the two of them – always a special moment in any wedding day. Once we returned it was time for dinner and the five speeches – every one was excellently received. When the plates were cleared Rebekah and Rhys ventured upstairs into the hotel to get a small tattoo done in celebration of their marriage. They each opted for the letter R – for each other’s initial – and their ink was done in just a few minutes. That was the first time I’d photographed tattooing at a wedding, and was a really cool experience. The evening commenced with the cake cut and the first dance, before the jazz band played and the party partied on. Rebekah & Rhys’ dog also made a guest appearance in the evening, so it was great to get some photos of the three of them. Many congratulations to Rebekah & Rhys – and thanks for having me along for the ride!
If you’re looking for a wedding photographer or planning a William Cecil wedding it’d be great to hear from you!
