Rachel & Dale’s William Cecil wedding Stamford was held in the hotel’s beautiful grounds, with an open air ceremony and garden reception. The day began with Rachel and her bridesmaids getting ready at the hotel, along with her daughter and niece. Dale was arriving ready, with best men and son in tow. It was a perfect summer’s day and lots of Dale’s family had descended from Lancashire, bringing lots of northern charm and cheer. The ceremony was held in the garden, with guests seated facing the pagoda. Afterwards, the drinks reception was held in the beautifully kept grounds, while guests enjoyed chatting, games, and snacking on crisps from the inventive ‘crisp wall’. We made time for family photos in a shady spot, and made use of the hotel’s proximity to Burghley Estate, so we took a short stroll there for photos of the newlyweds. The dinner and hilarious and heartwarming speeches were held in the spacious marquee, before moving to the inside function room in the evening for cake cutting, dancing and buffet.
